Home-Made Remedies to get Softer and Shinier Hair

Repairing damage with avocados

Mash a ripe avocado, by removing its pit. Add one egg to it, and apply it on your wet hair. Avocados are rich in vitamins, essential fatty acids and minerals, which will help restore the luster to your dry hair.

Leave it for at least 20 minutes, then rinse several times.

Repeat once a week for damaged hair and once a month for smooth, healthy and shiny hair.

Pamper your hair with Butter  

Your hair looks dry, dead and brittle?

No worries!

With a small amount of butter you can bring the glaze back.

Massage with it into your hair and cover your hair with a shower cap for about half an hour.

Shampoo as usual, and rinse all the butter out.

Moisturize with Olive Oil  

Warm up half a cup of olive oil, but do not boil, and then rub it into your hair, to bring the moisture and shine back.

Cover the tresses with a plastic bag, and then wrap everything in a towel.

Do this for 45 minutes, then shampoo and rinse completely.  

Bananas to Maximize Moisture

How ‘bout some “Shampoo Omelet”?

Add one egg to a small amount of your regular shampoo and apply it to your damaged hair for 5 minutes and rinse well.

Whip up some apple cidar vinegar  

Whip up some apple cidar vinegar with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 3 egg whites, and then rub the mix into your dry hair. Coconut and Extra Virgin Oil

Add a few drops of extra virgin oil to a spoonful of coconut oil. Coconut Oil is a fantastic solution for dry and damaged hair. Most importantly, when you have thick and heavy hair, it soothes the scalp and softens the hair.

 Apply it to the bottom of your hair. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse it out.

If it makes you feel too greasy on the hair, shampoo once more.

Care with Jojoba and Almond Oil

These oils are always available at the health food stores, near your house, and are wonderful elixirs for your damaged hair.

Apply small amounts of these oils, until your hair is thoroughly covered.

In case of rough hair, work the oil down to the tips and rinse off using mild shampoo after 30 minutes.
